ITINERARY FOR SAVANNAH,
HILTON HEAD & JEKYLL ISLAND
|
Day 1:
Depart your group’s location via deluxe video-equipped motorcoach,
enjoying some great scenery along the way. Then settle into a
comfortable hotel for a good night’s rest before tomorrow’s
excitement!
Day 2:
Enjoy a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before heading towards beautiful
Savannah, Georgia. Enjoy a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before leaving
for your guided tour of genteel, beautiful and historic Savannah, the
“Belle of Georgia.” You’ll see architectural marvels, beautiful
oak-lined streets and lovely “town squares.” Enjoy free time on
historic River Street with its unique 18th century “ballast stone”
streets and 19th century cotton warehouses, now home to fine eateries,
museums, unusual shops and antique galleries. This evening enjoy Dinner
at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel for a 3 night
stay.
Day 3:
Start your day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before departing for
the fascinating and history-rich Jekyll Island. See how the nation’s
wealthiest citizens like J.P. Morgan and William Rockefeller lived and
played – including a stop at what was once the exclusive
“Millionaires Club.” Later, you’ll take a guided tour of St.
Simons Island where you can take a stroll among moss-draped oaks or shop
at the interesting boutiques and specialty shops in the historic area.
This evening, you’ll have Dinner and return to your hotel to rest for
the next fun-filled day.
Day 4:
After breakfast, you'll depart for magnificent Hilton Head Island, where
you’ll have a tour that includes the Sea Pines Plantation, home of the
annual PGA Heritage Golf Classic. You’ll have time to stroll the
picturesque Harbor Town coastal area. Visit its unique boutiques and
restaurants in this “Mediterranean seaside village” style area, or
relax on the pier. This evening, you’ll return to your hotel and enjoy
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5:
Start the day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast at your hotel before
enjoying a Riverboat Cruise as the captain gives a narration of the
history of the Savannah river, including the founding of Savannah.
Tonight, you’ll check into your en route hotel for a good night’s
rest.
Day 6:
Have a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before heading for home with
memories of a great trip.
