Mt. Rushmore & the Black Hills
Depart your club location via deluxe, video-equipped motorcoach. This evening, you'll stay at an en route hotel. Day 2: After a Deluxe Continental Breakfast, you’ll visit Union Station in Kansas City, MO. This evening you’ll stay at your en route hotel and enjoy a relaxing Dinner. Day 3: Start the day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before heading to the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. The Corn Palace is a multi-use facility hosting dances, circuses and concerts; The Corn Palace's intention is to be a showcase for agricultural exhibitions, meetings and entertainment. Then you will arrive at your destination: The Legendary Black Hills of South Dakota! Later that day, enjoy a relaxing Dinner and check into your South Dakota area hotel. Day 4: Start the day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before heading to the Borglum Historical Center, where you will learn the story of Gutzon Borglum, the sculptor of Mount Rushmore. Afterward go to the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, America’s “Shrine of Democracy” and a symbol of the nation’s rich history, rugged determination and love of freedom. Then enjoy a tour of the Wildlife Loop Road of Custer State Park. The Wildlife Loop Road takes you through rolling prairies and pine covered hills, offering one of the best spots in the region to view native animals in the wild. This evening enjoy dinner with entertainment. Day 5: After breakfast, you'll depart for the Unique Journey Museum which tells the complete history of the mystical Black Hills. Then head for Deadwood, South Dakota, the former home of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane and now the location of gaming establishments in historic restored hotels and saloons. Enjoy a guided tour of Deadwood. This evening enjoy some gaming and a dinner. Day 6: Start the day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before departing for the fascinating Museum of Geology located at the South Dakota School of Mines. Next you will go to the Sioux Pottery factory where you will meet Sioux Indian Artists and learn how Sioux Pottery is made. Then you will head for the magnificent and spectacular Crazy Horse Memorial. While there you will learn about the sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski and his vision. This evening enjoy dinner with entertainment. Day 7: After breakfast, you'll depart for the Wall Drug and Café - the World's Largest Drug Store in Wall SD! A little bit of anything and everything; there's Sioux Pottery, Black Hills gold, Western wear and gear, thousands of boots, modern and Western art, glassware and all kinds of souvenirs. The fun never stops at Wall Drug! Tonight, you’ll have Dinner and check into your en route hotel for a good night's rest. Day 8: Start the day with a Deluxe Continental Breakfast at your hotel before heading for the Buffalo Ridge, Cowboy Ghost Town in Sioux Falls, SD. An attraction for amusement as well as history and education purposes, Buffalo Ridge offers over 50 exhibits (some animated) depicting life in and history of the regional area and the American West.
